Many computer technicians suggest having your computer serviced at least once per year. Computers sometimes save temporary data files including; Windows Update files, old downloaded files, internet browser history and other miscellaneous files. Another reason to have your computer regularly checked is for malware and viruses. With much of computer use based around internet activity the likely hood of finding some form of malware on a PC is quite high.
Another positive of having your computer serviced regularly is that a technician might be able to pickup hardware issues like a failing Hard Drive or a fan blocked with dust. A failing hard drive could cause documents to be lost and a blocked fan can cause overheating and serious damage could follow. Servicing your computer once a year is usually enough for most devices, but if you find your PC running slow or making any different sounds it might be a good idea to have it looked at by a qualified computer tech. We find that having your computer serviced at the start of year is good as it can prepare your device for the warmer months ahead.
